Dick and Ethel Phillips found this pictures in Dick's mothers pictures.
His obituary says that he died near Fort Mason, Texas. Captain Fowler Hamilton graduated from West Point in 1840 and served in the U. S. Dragoons. He died at the age of 34 from exhaustion while in the pursuit of Indians.
Fowler Hamilton is the son of Benjamin Hamilton who is the son of James Hamilton. Fowler is our uncle, his brother James Alexander Hamilton is our ancestor.
